Amor Township Minutes For

October 13, 2021

Meeting was called to order by Chairman Eric Roberts. Others in attendance were Supervisor Mike Holstrom, Supervisor Kerry Baumgartner, Clerk Brenda Hildebrand, Treasurer Lori Holmgren, Vance Sherman, Dave Christensen, and Jim Olson.

Pledge allegiance was recited.

Minutes were read and a motion was made by Baumgartner to accept, seconded by Holstrom and carried.

Treasurer’s report was given with a checkbook ending balance of $643,199.16. Holstrom made a motion to accept, seconded by Baumgartner and carried.

Holstrom made a motion to approve and pay claims #5007-5023 with payroll, and 3 automatic withdrawals. It was seconded by Baumgartner and carried.

Roberts made a motion to pay the bill for work done on 340th St. and send a bill to Dead Lake Twp. for their ½ of the bill that we paid. Seconded by Holstrom and carried.

Dave Christensen gave an update on the projects they have done. He will build a beaver grate for the culverts on Amor Township Dr. He will meet with Holstrom and Vance Sherman to look at the culverts on 365th Ave. on Friday October 15 at 8:00am.

Board received a petition from Jeff Heyen. A special meeting will be set for November 20, 2021 at 10:00am at the site. He would like to alter the easement on Roinez Trail.

Board opened the sealed bids for the trailer and sprayer, Nick Heeter $500, Steven Priest $489.00, Dave Christensen $700.00. The Roberts made a motion to accept the bid from Christensen, it was seconded by Baumgartner and carried.

There was nothing to report for the Fire report.

Hildebrand gave the park report. The dock is out and the tables are in the shelter, the water has been drained and the holding tank will be pumped out.

The loader came off on the tractor. The lever is broken and will need to be replaced. Brian Roberts will come to next month’s meeting and will talk about what happened.
