Amor Township Minutes For
March 11, 2020
Meeting was called to order by Chairman Michael Holstrom. Others in attendance were Kerry Baumgartner, Supervisor Eric Roberts, Clerk Brenda Hildebrand, Treasurer Lori Holmgren, Dave Holmgren, Jake Holmgren and Engineer Jeff Stabnow. Armon Poser joined the meeting at 7:35 pm.
Pledge allegiance was recited.
Chairman Holstrom turned the meeting over to Supervisor Baumgartner who will be Chairman for the next year.
Oath of Office was recited by Holstrom and Hildebrand.
Minutes were read and a motion was made by Roberts to accept, seconded by Holstrom and carried.
Treasurer’s report was given with a checkbook ending balance of $752,297.54. Roberts made a motion to accept seconded by Holstrom and carried.
Holstrom made a motion to approve and pay claims #4637-4663 and 5 automatic withdrawals, and payroll. It was seconded by Roberts and carried.
Jeff Stabnow gave a report on the culvert project on Amor Twp. Dr. We are waiting on the DNR approval.
The following donations were approved by the board;
Amor-Zion Cemetery- $3,500.00
Oakwood Cemetery- $3,500.00
EOT County History Museum-$ 425.00
I.T.O.W. Museum- $ 425.00
County Historical Society-$850.00
Battle Lake Summer Rec.- $500.00
Perham Library- $ 500.00
B.L. Backpack Program- $250.00
Perham Backpack Program- $250.00
Motion to approve made by Holstrom and seconded by Roberts, carried.
The board chose not to donate to the Prospect House, Someplace Safe, and Lakes Area Community Center.
Motion to approve the following salaries were made by Roberts. They are as follows:
Wages and fees are:
Clerk- $350.00/month, $60.00/ Mtg, and 15.00/hr anything over 4 hrs.
Treasurer- $300.00/month, 60.00/mtg, $15.00/hr anything over 4 hrs.
Election Judges- $12.00/hr.
Snowplow / Mower / Grader $25.00/hr.
Mileage (government rate).
Township snowplowing for residents $20.00/ time or $60.00/ hr., Non-resident $60.00/ time or $150.00/hr.
Township Grading for residents $40.00/time or $60.00/hr. Non resident $60/time or $200.00/hr.
Town hall rental is at boards discretion, Twp. residents $15.00+cleanup for meeting room, Non-residents $35.00+cleanup. Whole building- residents $50.00+cleanup, nonresidents $175.00+cleanup.
Amor Park Maintenance- $650.00/month for 6 months. A $40.00 reservation fee for reserving the shelter at the park. Fees will be used for park improvements. Budget is $8,000.00/yr. for the park, monies are carried over from year to year.
Motion was seconded by Baumgartner and carried.
Meeting was convened to go over the plan to improve the cold storage by insulating and heating it for equipment in the winter. Armon Poser will get a quote together for the project.
Meeting was reconvened.
Clerk will call Craig Seeman about replacing shop lights and hall lights to LED. There is a refund available from the electric company. More information net month.

Clerk informed the board that the political party will be reimbursing the township for the expense of the presidential primary election in the future.
Chloride treatment was discussed. Holstrom will send out a letter to all the people that have had it in the past. Then they will decide how to proceed with doing it and payment of it at next meeting. Dave Holmgren asked if he could go over the treatment after it is applied with a packer by his property. Board agreed to let him do it by his property.
With no further business to discuss the meeting was adjourned at 8:06 pm.
