Amor Township Minutes For

June 9, 2021

Special meeting was called to order by Chairman Eric Roberts at 6:30pm. at the Peterson property on Amor Township Drive. Others in attendance were Supervisor Mike Holstrom, Supervisor Kerry Baumgartner, Clerk Brenda Hildebrand, Treasurer Lori Holmgren, Jason Butts; Attorney for the Petersons, Dain, Angie, and Nate Peterson, and Jim and Sandy Batcha.

The meeting was to discuss vacating the cartway easement on the Peterson property that allows Batcha's to access their property on Amor Township Drive. Batchas’ purchased the property on the eastside. It is landlocked. The easement was put in place by the township board at that time to correct this issue. Batcha has since bought surrounding and adjacent property that could be used to access his property on the eastside. After some discussion from both sides and looking over the property, the board will contact the township attorney and go from there. Batchas did not support the idea of vacating the easement. Meeting was tabled until more information is available.

Monthly meeting was continued at the hall at 7:11pm.

Pledge allegiance was recited.

Minutes were read and a motion was made by Baumgartner to accept, seconded by Holstrom and carried.

Holstrom gave the Fire Report. Things are going well. New rig is working out.

Holstrom ordered a pump for the DEF barrel and a cart for the barrel to move it around easier. DEF is used in the new grader and tractor.

Baumgartner ordered a cart for the wing on the grader to take it off and on easier. It is extremely heavy.

Board is looking for a used packer to pull behind the grader or tractor for smoothing the gravel roads.

Hildebrand gave the report on Amor Park. It is very busy with reservations and swimming lessons. There is a fisher in the park by the playground. Hildebrand called the DNR. They said to leave it alone. They would not let her live trap it and move it.

With no further business the meeting was adjourned at 7:50pm.
