June 10, 2020

Meeting was called to order by Chairman Kerry Baumgartner. Others in attendance were Supervisor Eric Roberts, Supervisor Mike Holstrom, Clerk Brenda Hildebrand, Treasurer Lori Holmgren, Riley Christensen, and Jim Morgan.

Pledge allegiance was recited.

Minutes were read and a motion was made by Holstrom to accept, seconded by Roberts and carried.

Treasurer’s report was given with a checkbook ending balance of $695,554.18. Roberts made a motion to accept, seconded by Holstrom and carried.

Baumgartner made a motion to approve and pay claims #4705-4721, and 4 automatic withdrawals. It was seconded by Roberts and carried.

Jim Morgan representing Walker Lake Preserve Drive, presented a petition to have the township take over the road maintenance and have it recorded as a township road.  Township will not pay now or in the future to pave the road. It will be up to the property owners to do it. It is gravel now. The clerk will advertise for a special meeting next month along with the monthly meeting to discuss and vote on this.

Riley mowed ditches and graded all the roads.

BCI gave a quote for gravel. $9.70/yd delivered. Motion was made by Roberts to not add gravel at this time, seconded by Holstrom and carried.

Chloride treatment has been put in the areas that were requested and paid for.

Snow plowing damage on Winslow Lane. Christensen Construction will repair it because they are in the area.

Roberts has a quote for the cold storage remodel.  Somethings were not on the quote so he will get a new quote for next month.

Brenda Hildebrand gave the park report. She will spray the bathhouse and shelter for spiders and bugs. She will also check into getting black dirt to fill in some areas. Reservations have been down this year.

Roberts made a motion to buy the barricades for sale from Red Lantern Resort for $1000.00. Holstrom seconded it and carried.

Holstrom gave the fire report. The bed for the new truck was too long so that had to be fixed. It is going to be ready by next month or sooner.

With no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 7:58 pm.
