January 12, 2022

Meeting was called to order by Chairman Eric Roberts. Other in attendance were Supervisor Mike Holstrom, Supervisor Kerry Baumgartner, Treasurer Lori Holmgren, Dave Holmgren and Jim Olson. Clerk Brenda Hildebrand was absent.

Pledge allegiance was recited.

Minutes were read by Holstrom and a motion was made Baumgartner to accept, seconded by Holstrom and carried.

Treasurer’s report was given with a checkbook ending balance of $683,346.02 Baumgartner made a motion to accept, seconded by Holstrom and carried.

Baumgartner made a motion to approve and pay claims #5101, 5103-5117, 5102, with payroll and 1 ach. Roberts seconded and carried.

Discussion on the payment for spray trailer and sprayer from Christensen Construction. No check has been received. Mike will call and remind them.

Holstrom made a motion to set the Board of Audit after the February monthly meeting on February 9, 2022.  Baumgartner seconded and carried.

Discussion to vacate the alleyway on the Metzger and others properties. Motion by Baumgartner to adopt a resolution to vacate the alleyway, seconded by Holstrom and carried.

Motion by Baumgartner for a resolution to have the polling place as the town hall for all elections in 2022, seconded by Holstrom and carried.

Road report- Discussion on having carbide blades on the grader. They work well on the snowplow truck.  Quote from RDO for new plow for grader was $14,555.00. It is a one-way plow with wheels. 10 weeks out for delivery. Motion by Roberts to buy, seconded by Holstrom and carried. The old plow was worked on and tried to be retro fitted to new grader but it will not work. Discussion on what to pay the machinist for trying to weld it to fit new grader. Will discuss more when the bill comes.

Motion by Baumgartner to have Jim Olson as head judge for March election as the clerk is up for re-election. It was seconded by Holstrom and carried.

Discussion about hiring Dave Holmgren for 20 hours a week all year long. He would do all the road and shop maintenance. He will think about it and discuss at the next meeting. Holstrom will check if it needs to be advertised. He will place an ad if it does in the paper.

Fire report- Money from association for firemen’s’ retirement has gone up.

With no further business to discuss the meeting was adjourned at 8:15pm.
