August 8, 2018

Meeting was called to order by Chairman Eric Roberts. In attendance were Supervisor Mike Holstrom, Supervisor Kerry Baumgartner, Clerk Brenda Hildebrand, Treasurer Lori Holmgren, Brian Roberts, and Lee Kamrath.

Pledge allegiance was recited.

Minutes were read. Motion to approve minutes made by Roberts, seconded by Holstrom and carried.

Treasurer’s report was given with a checkbook ending balance of $483,168.30.  Motion to approve made by Holstrom, seconded by Baumgartner and carried.

Chairman Roberts made a motion to approve claims and checks #4278-4294; 2 automatic withdrawal and payroll; it was seconded by Holstrom and carried.

Lee Kamrath addressed the board with a complaint about the bill for chloride treatment to the road in front of his property. He didn’t want the treatment. He also had a complaint about the washout by his driveway. The board will look at it and see what can be done. He agreed to pay for the chloride treatment from last year and this year after the board explained why the treatment was put down.

Supervisor Holstrom went to the Otter Tail County Board Meeting in New York Mills to get a permit for the Amor Park Celebration. He for a waiver for the $500 fee for the permit. The board granted the waiver and the permit. Holstrom checked with the sheriff posse for help with crowd control but they were not available. Board members will help with that.

The Twp. Tractor will be used for the people mover. Parking at Craig Seeman’s hay field north of the park. Roberts will drive the tractor and shuttle people.

Supervisor Baumgartner made a motion to hire Brian Roberts to mow the ditches and as a back up for Dave Holmgren on the grader and plow truck. It was seconded by Holstrom and carried.

Brenda Hildebrand will check with M+R sign and get a no overnight camping sign for the park. There was an issue with a van at the park. It was recommended that the board post a sign at the entrance.

The beaver issues are cleared up for now.

Election went well. There will be more training for new judges in October.

With no further business, meeting was adjourned at 8:05pm
