April 14, 2021

Meeting was called to order by Chairman Eric Roberts. Others in attendance were Supervisor Mike Holstrom, Supervisor Kerry Baumgartner, Clerk Brenda Hildebrand, Treasurer Lori Holmgren, Jeff Stabnow, and John Christensen.

Pledge allegiance was recited.

Minutes were read and a motion was made by to accept Baumgartner, seconded by Holstrom and carried.

Treasurer’s report was given with a checkbook ending balance of $947,488.65. Holstrom made a motion to accept seconded by Baumgartner and carried.

Roberts made a motion to approve and pay claims #4892-4907 and 2 automatic withdrawals and payroll. It was seconded by Baumgartner and carried.

Holstrom made a motion to move $150,000.00 from road and bridge fund to the capital improvement fund. Seconded by Baumgartner and carried.

Jeff Stabnow gave an estimate for overlaying on West Point Trail and Oak Ridge Beach Road. $130,172.00. Holstrom made a motion to table it for now and see what oil prices do, it was seconded by Baumgartner and carried.

Holstrom got the gravel bids.

BCI had a bid of $13.20/yd delivered.

Earl Strande had a bid of $11.70/yd delivered with 11% finds.

Roberts made a motion to accept Strande and up to $30,000.00 of gravel for the year. It was seconded by Baumgartner and carried.

Dust Control Bid for $.69/foot. Baumgartner made a motion to go with the cost share for residents who wanted it. Letters will be sent to those who have done it in the past. Gravel will be placed before the dust control is applied. Roberts seconded and carried.

Hildebrand gave the park report, there will be Red Cross swimming lessons at the park again this year. First 2 weeks in July. Several reservations have been made. She ordered a new wash station for the men’s restroom delivery date is in July.

Otter Tail Power will be digging in new lines down Eldorado Beach Road by the park.

Board read a letter from a student from Battle Lake School Civic Class. She was concerned about the amount of litter left on the ice after fishing season. Clerk will answer letter and mail back.

John Christensen discussed the projects that need to be done. He and Holstrom will go and look over the beaver/culvert issues and the walking/biking trail.

Tyral Holstrom asked for an approach to be placed on his property. Roberts made a motion to approve, Baumgartner seconded, Holstrom abstained from voting, it was carried.

A petition was sent to the board for the vacating of a cartway for Batcha and Peterson property, Clerk will contact the attorney and set a date for special hearing on the issue.

Baumgartner will check with Johnson Heating for a furnace in the back storage area. We can’t use the one from Amor Pork it is too big for the space.

With no further business to discuss the meeting was adjourned at 8:11pm.
